The Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) has invited experts from the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) to visit the Kingdom of Lesotho to deliver a series of high-level workshops in the context of IISD deep-dive technical assistance program to the Kingdom of Lesotho for its Tax Incentives and Sustainable Investment Programme. This initiative will cover tax incentive policies, SEZs, and international investment agreements, and will also include bilateral meetings to further strengthen collaboration between the Kingdom of Lesotho and IISD.

IISD is an award-winning independent think tank championing and accelerating sustainable solutions to 21st century problems. In 2024, it launched a program on Tax Incentives and Sustainable Investment. The program leverages IISD’s unique expertise in Tax and Investment Law and Policy. It provides developing country governments with in-depth, multi-disciplinary support to evaluate and reform tax and non-tax incentives as an investment promotion tool. It also complements IISD’s Investment Policy Forum, the world’s only assembly of investment negotiators exclusively from developing countries.
